What is Reiki?

Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes the body’s own healing. It is administered by “laying on hands” and is based on the idea that an unseen “life force energy” flows through us and is what causes us to be alive.

The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words – Rei which means “God’s Wisdom or the Higher Power” and Ki which is “life force energy”. So, Reiki is actually “spiritually guided life force energy.”

A treatment can feel like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around you. You may experience seeing colours, feeling heat from my hands, feeling tingling, or even nothing at all! Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind, and spirit creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security, and well-being. Reiki can be used safely alongside standard healthcare to promote better health.

What is Reflexology?

Reflexology is a non-invasive complementary health therapy that can be effective in promoting deep relaxation and well-being, as by reducing stress in people’s lives it can help with optimising good health and building resilience.

Several studies indicate that reflexology helps reduce pain and psychological symptoms such as stress, anxiety, enhancing relaxation and sleep.

Reflexology can be used safely alongside standard healthcare.

What is Menopause Support?

Even if you are not one of the estimated 13 million women in the UK who are on their menopause journey, it is likely that you know a woman who is!

I am trained in the first Menopause: Facial, Hand & Foot Reflexology treatment and 12 week programme which tones all the zones from the head to the toes.  I combine this with Reiki and Aromatherapy to give a bespoke programme for each woman.

As I appreciate committing to a 12 week programme is a big step to take, I have created a 2 hour taster session, to enable women to come and discuss their needs, experience the reflexology routine that has been created with them in mind.  I discuss with them how I can help them with their specific needs and create a tailored 12 week programme just for them.

I combine Reflexology, Reiki and Aromatherapy to support the perimenopause, menopause, post menopause and medical menopause.  Working alongside HRT, we discuss different aspects of the menopause each week.  I provide bespoke aromatherapy blend taster samples to ensure that you are only purchasing blends that work for you.
